The Pre-School is the on-site nursery at St John's Priory School catering for ages 3–4, providing a nurturing and engaging start to a child's educational journey.
Children benefit from small groups, individual attention and a careful balance of play-based learning and early academic development. Being part of St John's Priory School means children quickly feel part of the wider school community, building confidence, friendships and familiarity with routines from an early age. This creates a seamless transition into Reception, with children already settled, secure and ready to thrive.
Parents choose our Pre-School for the sense of care, attention and reassurance it provides from day one. Children are known as individuals, supported to grow in confidence and independence, and benefit from being part of a school environment that naturally prepares them for the years ahead.
We offer a complimentary trial day so your child can experience life at the Pre-School in a natural, relaxed setting.

Book a VisitWe welcome children from 3 years old. The Pre-School operates term time only for 34 weeks of the year, Monday to Friday from 8.00am to 5.30pm.
We accept Early Education Funding (EEF), including 15 funded hours for all eligible children and 30 funded hours for eligible working families with a valid funding code. Tax-Free Childcare payments and childcare vouchers are also accepted. See our fees below.

Session charges apply only to hours additional to a child's funded entitlement, or where a child is not eligible for funded hours. Parents are not charged for the funded hours their child is entitled to receive, and optional charges are not a condition of accessing funded hours. A non-refundable registration fee of £75 applies (not applicable to funded sessions only).
