At St John’s Priory School we believe in developing individual skills and qualities. Our wide-ranging education is delivered in small classes where teachers have the time to recognise and nurture these skills. Our family first approach at St John’s Priory means that we do not have extended school days or Saturday school so that children can spend time with their family and enjoy their childhood. We are told by our parents, again and again, that this makes for happy children who are not pushed into growing up too soon.
With individual lesson plans and regular reports to parents, each child is encouraged to achieve their goals. Our children enjoy a diverse range of creative arts including specialist teaching in music, drama and art. The study of language and technology is also a vital part of the children’s education. When needs are identified, individual assistance is provided by our Head of Learning Support.
At St John’s Priory we are mindful of the next step our children take. One of our strengths is the thorough preparation that children receive for entry into grammar schools and independent senior schools. The school maintains close links with neighbouring senior schools to ensure that transition to senior school is a smooth and exciting process.
Set in the heart of Banbury, St John’s Priory is easily accessible from Brackley, Bicester, Oxford, Daventry and nearby villages. Additionally, our close proximity to M40 (Junction 11) allows parents using the motorway to easily access our school.
